Teeth Whitening

Whitening is a very popular procedure. It is a simple effective technique for obtaining a dazzling, whiter smile without altering the tooth structure. Over time our teeth can stain and become discolored by certain habits we have and liquids we drink. Tampa Dental's Cosmetic Dentists offer many options for whitening to fit any budget. The procedure may be done in the comfort of your home or in our office. You may ask anyone on our professional team for additional information.

Our first and preferred option is our Custom Trays, Opalescence Take-Home System. This is made to fit you, your smile, and your lifestyle. For this option impressions of your teeth are taken in order to make comfortable, customized trays for your upper and lower teeth. In addition to the trays, you'll be sent home with syringes of Opalescence gel that contain prescription strength formulations to help whiten your smile each day.

Our second option is Opalescence Tres White supreme is an alternative to custom whitening trays utilizing disposable whitening trays. It is simpler than what you will find in the supermarkets, plus, it is prescription strength and affordable. Simply place the tray in your mouth and wear it for 30-60 minutes, once a day. It's that easy!

Our third option is our in-office whitening system, Opalescence Xtra Boost. This helps you get the smile you want fast. Unlike other in-office whitening systems Boost is not light activated, rather it is chemically activated. The solution is placed on your teeth here at the office in cycles and your progress is monitored. In about 1-1/2 hours you will have a brighter smile. Following the appointment you will be given a post whitening take home kit which includes the Tres White disposable trays in order to help you maintain your whiter smile. Our in-office whitening system requires one of the other options to maintain the results.

Post Whitening Care Instructions

With our in-office whitening system it is very important that each patient follow some simple post whitening care instructions. We recommend flossing, brushing with a whitening toothpaste, and touch ups with Tres-White disposable whitening trays or customized trays and Opalescence whitening gel.
