Meet Dr. Nick

Hello! I would like introduce myself as the newest member of the Tampa Dental team. My name is Dr. Nick L. Kavouklis, (a.k.a. "Dr.Nick") and after years of training the prodigal son has returned to the Bay Area to, not only work, but to learn from his father and help him further build Tampa Dental.

I am a native Floridian, born and reared in the Tampa Bay area. Following high school I attended Florida State University (FSU) where I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biological Science. Upon graduating from FSU I attended The University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Dental School, which boasts not only the longest name in the nation but is also the first ever dental school in the country. There, I received my degree of, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S).

Following dental school I kept heading north…to the Big Apple to be precise. In New York I completed an optional, two year, general practice residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. At Lutheran Medical Center I took my education to the next level as I practiced and further learned all aspects of dentistry from Implantology and Oral Surgery, to Endodontics and Periodontology. During my second year of residency I was a Chief Resident and again I was able to continue my education and help the new residents get acclimated to New York and their residency program. In my free time I began to moonlight in a private practice in Brooklyn until residency was over and I decided it was time to return to the Tampa Bay area.

I am currently living in Tampa and I look forward to working at Tampa Dental for years to come. I am happy for my father and proud of what he has accomplished. I admire his relationships with his patients and hope I can develop similar relationships with my patients. I aspire to help my father take Tampa Dental into the future.
