Meet Dr. Nick L. Kavouklis

Hello! My name is Dr. Nick L. Kavouklis (a.k.a. Dr. Nick). I am a native Floridian born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. I attended Florida State University, where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science. Upon graduating from FSU, I attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore, College of Dental Surgery Dental School. There, I received my degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)
Following dental school, I moved to the Big Apple. In New York, I completed an optional, two-year, general practice residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. At Lutheran Medical Center, I took my education to the next level as I practiced and further learned all aspects of dentistry, from Implantology to Endodontics. During my second year of residency, I was named Chief Resident, and again I was able to further my education, as well as help the new residents get acclimated to New York and their residency program. During this period, I had the opportunity to moonlight in a private practice until residency was over. In the summer of 2008, I decided it was time to return to Tampa. It was then that I began my career at Tampa Dental, working and learning from my father (Dr. K), who started the practice. Together, we built it into what it is today. Dr. K retired in 2021, and since then, I have taken over Tampa Dental. I am happy for my father and proud of what he has accomplished in his career. I admire his relationships with his patients and hope I continue to develop similar, long-lasting relationships with mine.
When I am not at the office, I cherish every moment I get to spend with my wife and two sons. There is nothing I enjoy more than being with my boys and watching them grow up. Outside of family time, I enjoy traveling, working out, and watching sports, especially Tampa Bay Sports Teams.
Dentistry is an ever-changing field, and we have done our best to keep up with the latest office technology and dental trends. I have completed countless continuing education courses and have become proficient and knowledgeable in many areas of dentistry, such as Implant Dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, smile design, and Invisalign. I strive to be the best dentist I can be for my patients, and through these courses, I hope to offer them the best possible treatment and dental experience.
